Singer-songwriter Regina Spektor was on The Colbert Report last night where she played “Small Town Moon” from her latest album, What We Saw from the Cheap Seats.
In case you didn’t know, this is a good week for music. Lots of new releases, summer tours are all fired up, and any lingering frosty winter sadness is about to be heat-blasted out of your sweet little soul.
I was about to attempt to compile some of the fresh musical newness being unleashed this week, but wouldn’t ya know it, Indie Rock Cafe done beat me to it. So let’s all enjoy their legwork and listen to a pu pu platter of new summer songs.

“All The Rowboats” – Regina Spektor from What We Saw From The Cheap Seats on Warner Bros. Records“Sunshine In Chicago” – Sun Kil Moon from Among The Leaves on Caldo Verde Si
“Keep On Movin’” – King Tuff from King Tuff
And there is more good stuff here…“Drown” – Broken Water
from Tempest on Hardly Art“Here They Come” – The Doc Marshalls from Look Out, Compadre (self-released)
“Softkiss” – Lemonade from Diver on True Panther/Matador
“Take the Mirror” – White Lung from Sorry on Deranged Records

“Never Stop” – The Toxic Avenger from ANGST on Little Owl Recordings
To erase that lingering icky feeling from our last post, here’s Regina Spektor being her usual wonderful self on Letterman last night. And he’s there, being his usual creepy, old self.
Ahh, and suddenly all is right with the world again.
